What an end to the year! The tyre tracks are still fresh in the driveway from our trip down to Sydney for the Sydney Summer Showjumping Classic. I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful work done by John Valance and Jane Frankum in organising such a fabulous event.

You see, horses are not so much a part of what we do, but rather, the core of who we are.

From the time we were kids, we have spent our lives in the saddle, mustering and droving in the Queensland bush, working after school and weekends and holidays. All the while we were growing up alongside fine old Australian horsemen and good, tough Australian horses. We were fortunate to recognize each as being our teachers, even when the days were long, the lessons were tough and the disappointments seemed greater than the wins.

We slowly made our way through the ranks of bush pony clubs, campdraft arenas and old fashioned country shows. This taught us some of the most important lessons we know: the meaning of hard work, the pleasure of good friends and good times – and the importance of true sportsmanship. Since then, our journey with horses has taken us right around Australia and to most parts of the world.

Since our philosophy of true horsemanship is the one thing that matters the most to us, we are now extremely honoured that so many people want to come on board and share that journey with us. We are very proud to have clients all over Australia and scattered across many parts of the world.

David Finch is the current EFA Australia Coach of the Year. He has won the Queensland EFA Coach of the Year on two separate occasions. He coaches throughout Australia and his clinics suit a wide range of riders. Finch is also an EFA NCAS Level II Show jumping Specialist and he has ridden and developed show jumping horses to World Cup standard.

Finch Farm is also the home of an exciting and innovative international breeding program.  The farm has focused on breeding the horses for tomorrow with a band of carefully selected mares and the use of frozen semen of some of the finest show jumping stallions in the world, including Corrado, Stakkato and Cassini II.

Welcome to our world.
